Employee Benefits Consultant

Location: London

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

The Client

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award winning, independent Chartered Insurance Broker. Established for nearly 20 years, they have offices around the country and employee more than 200 staff. They are now looking to add to their established and experienced Employee Benefits team with the addition of a new Employee Benefits Consultant.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a company who recognise the value of a transparent and informal culture. To benefit from this you will require discipline and accountability and project sound leadership skills whilst setting a good example for others to follow. The role offers good variety as you will be selling and administering a range of Employee Benefits schemes, including Group Life, Group Income Protection, Group Critical Illness and PMI.

Duties

  • To achieve any personal or team business production targets set and agreed with your Manager
  • To produce new business from referrals and proactive sales activity
  • To identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell appropriate products and services to existing clients
  • To establish strong relationships with potential clients, influencers and suppliers
  • To work closely with the financial services team in seeking opportunities to develop business for one another
  • To administer the insurance portfolios of allocated clients in a timely, professional and cost-effective manner
  • To ensure that any clients with whom you deal are treated fairly at all times
  • To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • To undertake any additional duties which have been specifically assigned to you and/or may be reasonably requested by your Manager or the Directors
  • You will need advanced knowledge of all aspects of Employee Benefit Insurance
  • The ability to originate action and influence others
  • The ability to think creatively and analytically
  • The ability to set, prioritise and meet realistic targets within agreed deadlines
  • The ability to negotiate effectively with insurers and clients
  • The ability to communicate effectively, whether in writing, face to face or by telephone
  • The ability to write reports and make presentations

• A generous basic salary of between £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
