After more than fifteen years working within the Employee Benefits industry, I founded Milestone Recruit in 2017 to provide specialist recruitment services focusing exclusively on Employee Benefits. During my time as an Account Manager, both at various market leading insurers and as an intermediary, I was frequently contacted by head-hunters about ‘insurance’ vacancies, in areas I had little experience in. Many seemed to struggle with the concept that Employee Benefits was a niche market, and just because it was insurance, did not mean that they had the perfect role for me.
When I started Milestone Recruit, the concept was simple for me, to focus on one thing only, providing a great service for the industry that I’ve spent my entire career as part of. I was determined that Milestone Recruit would be a completely different experience for our clients, both employers and individual candidates. We strive to be different, not just another recruitment agency relying on high volumes of jobs and candidates to achieve our goals.
We work with a small number of handpicked insurers and intermediaries, most of whom we have had a personal connection with over the last 15 years. We work closely to understand their business needs, as well as their company culture and vision for the future to understand what sort of candidate will excel within the organisation.
For us, it’s not about finding multiple candidates who may or may not be a good fit for the job, but more about handpicking outstanding candidates to enhance our client’s businesses.
